The Physical Effects Of Drugs On The Body
How you look can be tampered with, with the consumption of certain substances or medications. Drug abuse may sell you out since the looks may fade away. When you are on drugs be sure that your appearance is going to change, and people are going to notice that you can’t hide it. We have so many effects of drug abuse that will cause your looks to change.
Your skin tone will change automatically. You get a pink tone when you abuse alcohol, this comes about when alcohol opens up your blood vessels, and you will experience this. We have other drugs that make your skin appear dull, that is heroin and meth. So each category of drugs you use will affect your skin in either way.
The other physical effects of drugs is skin irritations. We have some drugs that cause you to develop wounds. For instance meth and heroin both cause users to pick their skin. The bad news is that you will scratch your skin so bad that it would be extreme for you due to the pain you are going through, this will result in nothing much but skin breakage. Worst of worst, the scratching and picking will often lead to big scrabs developing on the body and all over the face, that is when you face acne and severe irritations. Your body will look like it’s broken, and you will hate it for real.
Another extreme effect is tooth decay. Some drugs like heroin lower the blood pressure and affect the blood flow this can cause roots of your teeth to get an insufficient supply of blood, hence roots die, and teeth rot. With your teeth decayed already you cannot hide that we all see that. We also have mouth conditions. Some drugs cause deterioration in your oral health. For example alcohol users are faced with a problem whereby the level of acid is increased in their mouth and with this happening, the soft tissues in the mouth are affected. There is another situation that is really bad, the meth mouth, when this happens the breath becomes awful, ulcers may develop in one’s mouth plus that your teeth get stained.
When you abuse drugs, you can use either gain weight or lose it. With consumption of substances like cocaine or opioids your appetite gets lost, so you thin up, and you develop a skeletal appearance. Heroin, on the other hand, reduces the levels of healthy fats in your body, you lose weight too. Alcohol and oxycodone also may lead to weight gain, since your blood vessels are open and become puffy, the body bloats and experience general swelling. Hair may get lost. Steroids have an effect, you develop chest hair, but your head remains with bald spots.
